In 2012, The Giving Tree of Temple Beth El in Boca Raton, Florida, started a grassroots program called “Sweet Dreams” after delivering beds and furniture to a local family sleeping and eating on the floor. Today, Sweet Dream Makers is an independently run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing new beds and essential furnishings to children and families in need.
Hundreds of struggling families in Palm Beach County are referred to us each year though Social Service agencies and community organizations that work with children and families.
We are putting an average of 150 kids per month into new beds as well as providing gently-used furniture and housewares to families who are furniture poor.
The families we serve may have previously been homeless, lost everything due to bed bugs, are unemployed, the working poor, migrant workers, victims of domestic violence, the disabled and the elderly.
Families in need of beds and furniture are referred to Sweet Dream Makers through these local Social Service Agencies.
In order to qualify for a bed or furniture, you must be referred to us through your Targeted Case Manager. We also accept independent referrals from community leaders, religious organizations, schools, police officers, etc.
Targeted Case Managers and advocates should contact us by clicking below for a referral form. Inquiries should be sent from the case managers' work address.
